How we stack paddles, call courts, and keep play safe.
Respect the court, the net, and everyone waiting to play.
Wearing shoes helps prevent slips and injuries while playing. It also helps preserve the cleanliness and condition of our court, keeping it safe and well-maintained for everyone.
Wearing a shirt protects your skin from minor scrapes and limits the transfer of sweat and germs on shared spaces. Because the court is a shared area, keeping your shirt on also maintains basic decency and shows respect for fellow players and spectators.
Running into or jumping over the net is a serious safety hazard that can cause trips, falls, and injuries. It also damages the net and court equipment, leading to unnecessary repairs and downtime for everyone who uses the space.
If a loose ball rolls onto an active court, immediately call “Ball on court” and stop play to prevent ankle injuries. Never run onto another court to grab your ball while a rally is in progress—wait for the players on that court to finish their point and return the ball to you safely.
Give everyone a fair chance to play by rotating games fairly and limiting practice times when others are waiting. Respecting court time ensures that all players in the community get equal opportunity to enjoy the space.
How the stacking rack and court calls work.
The stacking rack is divided into two separate queues: the Winners Stack and the Losers Stack. After each match, winning teams stack their equipment in the Winners Stack, while losing teams stack in the Losers Stack. Newly arrived players also stack in the Losers Stack for their first match.
The winning stack receives priority court access over the standard queue. This rewards winning teams with faster rotation, while the main queue moves at a standard pace.
Games are played strictly to 11 points. The first team to reach 11 points wins immediately—there are no win-by-two (“slide twos”) extensions and no court side changes at any point during the match.
To maintain movement in both queues, courts are called at a 2:1 ratio. For every 2 groups called from the Winners Stack, 1 group is called from the Losers Stack.
If all 4 players from a finished match mutually agree to a rematch, the group must place their paddles at the back of the Losers Stack. Rematching groups cannot use the Winners Stack.
